First and foremost if you want to start off with the animal photography it is better to have a thorough study of the animal’s behavior which includes their eating and their day to day routine. You need to love what you are doing.

To get the best results it is very important to make a good combination of the light and the posture of the animal. If there is not enough light the image will give a darker impression on the photo. You have to learn to be patient as you never know about the frame of mind of the animals as if it changes suddenly then you will end up loosing a good chance of clicking a good photograph.

While you are taking a photograph the light plays an important role as the image will be bearing the particular light effect as it would make the image look good or worse. No doubt that you should wait for the appropriate light combination but there are some instances when you won’t get an ideal light combination. So it is very important to plan out the time of the shooting and have an idea of how the weather would react so that it saves your precious time.

Wait till you get the best shot as the animals act as they like to, it is you as a photographer who has to capture that precious moment. You need to give respect to their natural habitat.
